THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN BENEVOLENT AND ADOPTED MORE CHILDREN SUEING THE ZOO WAS GREED AND CAUSED THE DEATHS OF THE DOGS WHO WERE SHIPPED AWAY AND QUIETLY EUTHANIZEDANIMALS ALWAYS LOSEDISGUSTING In response to numerous media inquiries, we can confirm that we have filed a Civil Complaint in the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Court of Common Pleas asserting claims that include wrongful death and negligence, resulting from the November 4, 2012, fatal mauling of two-year-old Maddox Derkosh by a pack of African wild dogs on the grounds of the Pittsburgh Zoo. There had, it was later revealed, also been a previous case where the zoo had to be temporarily put in lockdown because of the dogs escaping their enclosure and wandering around the greater zoo property, although nobody had been injured or killed by them. Elizabeth and Jason Derkosh sued the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium and the Zoological Society of Pittsburgh for the wrongful death of their son, strict liability and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
