They later moved to Fennimore where he graduated from Fennimore High School in 1956. He was born on July 25, 1919, in Mount Hope, son of Harry and Mabel (Rowdon) Garthwaite. Henry was employed at Pierick and Schwingle Hardware Store in Muscoda. She attended Fennimore schools until 5th grade when her family moved to Milwaukee.
