All of our chapters are unique, so women have been able to find chapters suited to their needs. :) we aren't one of the "competitive/elite" groups but that's what i love about us! ,So, I am rushing in August at UT and am worried about some reputations having to do with sororities at UT. Particularly on a very large campus, undergraduates can benefit from the friendship and support a sorority offers. Some women are born knowing gold from gold-fill. Their reputation varies from campus to campus, but they are universally considered top-tier. They tend to have a strong sisterhood, and they can really develop strong bonds with particular frats. They have found a place to do philanthropy, learn incredible study habits and make life-long friends. Having strong communication skills matter. Ask past and current members, and even people who rushed but did not join for whatever reason, about their opinion of a sorority. Chi-O: A lot of girls seemed to prefer Chi-O to Pi Phi and Kappa. Their PC18 is incredible. Okay so here are the real sorority rankings at UT Austin IMO Upper Top Tier: Theta, Pi Phi, Kappa (aka PKT) Theta: IMO best pledge class. Girls arent really told ahead they will be a Pi phi or Theta but all who end up in PKT know they will end up in one of them. It is probably true that it depends on the chapter, but most of your impressions are pretty accurate. They are probably number three IMO. Thanks! AXO girls are generally not considered terribly hot or popular, but they are respected for being classy and involved in campus life.
